Hi. I’ve installed Win XP to virtual box for Windows updates. I created a new VM and installed windows 7. Did everything on the website and my.NET is 4.6.2. However, it says it is not installed. If I click OK I am given the 4.5.1 download which I am not sure I want because I have the OS update already. This is strange because the site says I have 4.6.2 preinstalled. I also tried pointing to the 4.6.2 one but it is still asking for 4.5.1. It’s like it doesn’t really work.

I have a.NET Framework 4.6, which was installed when Windows was originally installed on the main computer and then upgraded to.NET 4.6.2 when a Windows Update was available. However, the PC apparently is not installing the update automatically without intervention; I've tried waiting for a restart a couple times but that didn't work. I tried going to the download page and downloading and installing the.NET Framework 4.6.2 build with the same result. I've also tried going to the Win 7 Updates page and clicking "Automatic" for.NET 4.6.2, but that didn't work either, along with "Button M" and "Button L" on the toolbar also didn't work.
