The sixth game in the Dead Rising series. The game, set one year after Dead Rising 4 with a new story and a new character, follows a rookie cop and his partners, as they investigate the brutal murders which have befallen the city, all while on the job, with the Bureau taking over after notices of a mass amnesia syndrome. The player can select an anime-inspired, 3D filter to change the game's characters and background, as well as how the game looks.

The seventh game in the Dead Rising series. Set one year after the events of the game, Frank West, having become a plumber delivering toilets, he is driving to an apartment building where he lives when he spots a pedestrian about to be run over by a garbage truck. Frank jumps in to save the person from being crushed by the garbage truck, only to discover that this is his estranged wife. After giving her some first aid, she confesses that her amnesia has passed and that this is all a hallucination, and she warns that someone is after her. Next, the player is introduced to a mysterious man who telekinetically picks up Frank's wallet, where there are only 13 dollars, a black jack and a can of gasoline. Frank heads for the apartment building only to discover that his apartment is occupied by a group of cultists carrying out a ritual. Upon interrogating the cultists, the player finds out that an evil guy named Richard is actually performing the ritual. Frank then goes to interrogate Richard, who claims that there will be more portals if Frank does not choose a side in a game of black jack. But, if Frank chooses to be Richard's new blood, Frank can be killed every time he does. Frank sees a portal emit a red light, and then enters the portal, where the cultists, and his wife, follow him. Frank tells be to choose and the main story is opened. Upon entering the Portal, Frank is met by the same man who gave him the black jack, and is told that he can either be weak and evil, or strong and evil. Frank chooses to be evil.
