The most unequivocally good news for urbanists and transit advocates was that Prop 1 (Move Seattle) dominated with 58.75% of the vote thus far. This portends well for the $15 billion dollar ST3 levy, which will be on the ballot next year. Moreover, it demonstrates a real interest in investing in transit and bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
Starting in 2022 the Wisconsin Psychological Association (WPA) is offering more training opportunities to Psychologists than ever before! Participants can earn up to 1.0 CE for each of these six (6) 1-hour sessions that will be held virtually, via Zoom, at noon throughout the Summer. Topics include some of the great content that was shared during the 2022 Annual Convention and information on a variety of other topics including diversity, DBT and new psychology testing tools.
Communities throughout Wisconsin and the United States are challenged to create and implement impactful diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs. This session will explore the current context for such efforts and an evidence-based framework for taking action.
This session will provide an update in the area of psychological assessment/evaluation in 2022. This will include discussion of updated instruments and best practices in approaching psychological evaluations, including approaching evaluations from a diversity, equity, and inclusion framework.
This session will provide an overview of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Participants will learn about the biosocial theory of emotion dysregulation, the theoretical model upon which DBT is built. The modes and functions of comprehensive DBT will be described.
