This document contains instructions for downloading the most current fix packs and interim fixes from Fix Central. You can download the IBM Spectrum Protect server and client, IBM Spectrum Protect for SAN, and the Operations Center. The IBM Spectrum Protect for SAN (storage agent) product is packaged with the server.
Beginning with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Release 9.1 Update 3.3, the IBM WebSphere Application Server Release 8.5.5 is supported. This fix pack can be installed as a new installation or an update.
You can choose to create your first profile now or after the remaining software packages have been installed. If you create your profile now, you will need to manually define the web server before configuring the plug-in later in this chapter. As an alternative, you can use the advanced profile creation option to automatically create a web server, but this must be done after all of the other software components described in this guide are installed and updated to the correct level.
On Install Packages, package group, click the radio button entitled: Create a new package group. In the Installation Directory field, enter an appropriate location to install the IBM HTTP Server 8.5 software. It does not have to be the same location as the shared location.
New tool functionality with IBM WebSphere 8.5 includes the requirement to install the WebSphere Customization Toolbox. This tool aids in configuring your plug-in properly. The WebSphere Customization Toolbox comes from the supplemental software repository that was downloaded, decompressed, and added to the repository list as described in previous procedures in this document.
After you have updated all software packages as described in the preceding section of this document entitled: Section 3.10, "Installing or Updating to WebSphere 8.5 Fix Pack", you must configure the plug-in. This process is performed through the IBM WebSphere Customization Toolbox. You must complete this configuration before you install the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne HTML Web Server.
When using the "Download Links" below, single-file downloads can be used directly as IBM Installation Manager repositories. Multi-file downloads with "part" in the filename must each be unzipped to a shared directory which can then be used as a repository.
**: If you have installed and switched to SDK 7, SDK 7.1 or SDK 8 you will need to download and apply the SDK fixpack found here: IBM WebSphere Java SDKs for WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5.17 WebSphere Application Server Supplements Instructions
The procedure is similar to applying fix pack. You may use the same response file used for fix pack installation. However, you need to replace the fixpack repository location with interim fix repository location.
IJ08940 The version of Java included in OMNIbus core has been updated from Java 7 to Java 8. As a consequence of this there are some changes to supported platforms for Java based components as well as some outstanding issues which will be fixed in a later fix pack.
MIB Manager: If MIB Manager is used then it is important to note that there are some dependency changes and known issues. - MIB Manager will NOT currently work on Solaris due to an issue with the version of Eclipse included. This will be resolved in a later fix pack. - On AIX libXrender is required to run MIB Manager. It should be version 0.9.8 available from the IBM AIX Toolbox website and installed into /opt/freeware/lib (the default location). - The GTK must be at least version 2.18 in order for Eclipse to run.

About the download: The Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) all-in-one installer includes the option to deploy ashared Jazz Team Server and the Change and Configuration Management (CCM), Quality Management (QM), Requirements Management (RM), Architecture Management (AM), Jazz Reporting Service (JRS), and IBM Engineering Lifecycle Optimization - Engineering Insights (ENI) applications, in addition to Trial license keys for IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management products that unlock access to capabilities provided by the applications. While you can perform most tasks with a web browser, the all-in-one installer also includes options to install client tools that support advanced tasks and optimized workflows for specific roles or jobs, or tools that provide additional functions such as integrations with other systems.
You can now install IBM Engineering Lifecycle Optimization - Publishing Document Builder (PUB DB) from the IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) installation launchpad. PUB DB is installed into a separate package group from the ELM applications into its own installation folder with its own Liberty runtime.
To perform a web installation of the server, download the web installer for your platform (see the previous section), extract the .zip file, and start the launchpad(launchpad.bat or launchpad.sh, depending on your platform). The server includes Apache Derby to support up to 10 users. To enable more than 10 users, install IBM Db2 or another supported database program.
